Life

Hey everyone,

I came back from New York. It was huge, I really liked it. Walking through all these different neighborhoods was great, Greenwich Village was one of my favorite, but SoHo and Chelsea were also lovely. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll come back another time in the next few years, but this time in spring, it was freezing!

Lot of things happened between that, I’m starting marketing courses at the SAWI, 2 evenings a week + 2 Saturdays a month. I’m really excited to be back to school and learn all the basics of marketing and communication. I’m doing these courses (only 4 month) to have a paper called MarKom and this paper will allow me to take another course which will allow me to have a higher degree in marketing. All of these courses are in the evening or during weekends, so I needed to find a job close to Lausanne or at 80%, that’s why I quit my job at the end of January and that I’m currently looking for new opportunities in the marketing field. I’d love to manage creative campaigns in the future, but as a junior in marketing, it’s always hard to find « the dream job ». I already have a few interviews in the next weeks, so we’ll see how it goes. So if you’re recruiting and you’re looking for a junior creative guy for your marketing team, don’t hesitate to contact me, you can also check my LinkedIn profile.

I ordered a GoPro HD HERO 2 a week ago, I think I’ll get it tomorrow at home, I can’t wait to try this. I’ll use it while snowboarding, but also during road trips, travels and personal video projects, FYI I’ll upload everything on my Vimeo channel. I also decided to do bungee jumping as soon as the weather is nice enough, but also book myself a parachute jump just after that. I can’t wait to finally try this! I’ll obviously use the GoPro for both of these activities.

I just started working on a new web project related to the beautiful country I’m living in, Switzerland. More information coming soon, I need to get back my coding skills first.

Here you go. I had a lot of things to deal with these last weeks, couldn’t post a lot and I’m sorry about that, I’m more active on Twitter, you can follow me if you’re into startups, travel, marketing or Switzerland.

Cheers

I’ll be turning 22 the next month, to break the routine and make my life a little more exciting, I decided to try 22 things in ONE year that I’ve never done before or that I really want or need to do.  Some of them might be easy, it’s just things that I always thought it’d be cool to do. By making that list, I asked myself a lot of questions about what I really want to do in my life, what are my true passions, what can I change, what I don’t want to change and so on. That made this little experiment very interesting and I even learned more about myself.

There are moments in your life when you may feel discouraged, unfocused or unmotivated. You just can’t get things done because it’s just not your fucking day, and that’s allright, I think everyone have these moments. I usually feel that way when the weather is crap (good thing I don’t live in England) or when I have issues with my family/friends/girlfriend. And I have a trick that works every time I feel that way, I know I’m not the only one using this, but I thought that might be useful for some people anyway.

I guess the first blog post is always pretty hard, I don’t how I want to start this.
Well, I’m sure you want to know more about myself. (Oh yes you do!)

Childhood

So, I was born on November 26, 1989 in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. I had a pretty good childhood, my sister and myself had the chance to travel a lot with our family. I guess that’s why I’m addicted to planes and airports right now. I lived for about 15 years in a neighborhood called « Pierre-de-Savoie » in Yverdon-les-Bains, that’s where I met almost all of my best friends that I still see every week. We used to be hated by all of our neighbors at this time, we were the loudest assholes boys around; always playing, burning things, doing stunts. Oh god, good times.
